“Plane” starring Gerald Butler as the lead, is a classic action movie that offers action and thrilling moments. Butler’s performance is solid as he effortlessly embodies his character, making it a good casting choice. The supporting cast is also noteworthy, with the other lead delivering a strong performance. The firefights, explosions, and hand-to-hand combat scenes are truly impressive, and the CGI outside views of the plane are breathtaking.
However, the movie follows a typical action movie storyline, which might not appeal to viewers who expect more. Some of the actions taken by the characters are predictable, and the behavior of the passengers is somewhat unrealistic. The movie could have focused more on the dynamics between the group of stranded survivors, instead of just focusing on the action. The consequences of the two passenger deaths were also underdeveloped, and the response from the airline and government seemed implausible.
On a personal note, one of the reviewers is going on a vacation without taking an airplane, and this movie does not make a compelling case for taking a plane in the future. Overall, “Plane” is a classic action movie that will appeal to fans of the genre but may not be for everyone.
